Provides intensive intervention in a residential setting to promote sobriety and prevent relapse for men dealing with issues of substance abuse. Female clients also participates in a 45 to 90 day program, which includes: gender specific substance abuse treatment, therapeutic interventions addressing issues of relationship; sexual and physical abuse; and parenting, "Seeking Safety" program developed by Harvard Medical School and McLean Hospital to treat substance abuses and trauma issues concurrently, prenatal care referrals, and child development daycare, which includes transportation; meals; after school program and summer camp. Referrals are made by the City of Detroit Health Department, Bureau of Substance Abuse.
