Housing Opportunities

Housing Opportunities located in Valparaiso, IN, is a community-sustained nonprofit that resolves and prevents homelessness for adults, children, and seniors in Porter and LaPorte counties. Emergency Housing: Clients seeking emergency housing undergo a criminal background check and must provide a valid Porter or LaPorte County identification.

The resource center provides showers, laundry facilities, as well as computer access are included is a safe, supported place where individuals can pursue employment and housing solutions. Affordable rentals are provided for qualifying clients with low income. There is permanent supportive housing for individuals with a diagnosed disability. For those experiencing homelessness there is a rapid rehousing program with temporary rental assistance to help get individuals back into a home.

We provide coaching for clients to help them get back on the road to self-sufficiency. Street outreach essentials are offered to help support the homeless who are living on the streets.
