The shelters serves homeless men, women and families. Shower facilities and meals are available. The food pantry is open Monday through Friday and the hours are 9:00 am until 3:00 pm. Individuals can only receive assistance once every ninety days. Also provide assistance for utility bills and rent. There is employment assistance available too. |

In 1910, the Tuscaloosa Salvation Army was established. This year over 13,000 individuals will get help. Every night about fify people stay in the homeless shelter. More than 35,000 meals that are nutritious will be served. At Christmas, approximately 1,000 seniors and 2,500 children will be served. |
