Mobile Alabama Salvation Army

Services: Dauphin Way Lodge - is a chemically dependent treatment center. Corps Salvage Rehabilitation Center - is a 180-day program that treats drug and alcohol substance abuse. This residential program provides work therapy and is for homeless men. The treatemnt program is funded reusable donations items that for sale in our three thrift stores. Project Able - is a pre-employment program that trains homeless men in how to rejoin the workforce and be productive members of the community Center for Women and Children - Is for women and children who are in need of help. Social Services For Families and Emergency Services - Assistance is provided during a times of crisis for those living in poverty and the working poor. Aid includes: food, rental and utility assistance for qualifying applicants. Disaster Services: Provide relief for victims during disasters. Christmas Programs - Angel Tree: Supplies Christmas presents for children. Red Kettles - yearly fundraiser during the Christmas season for The Salvation Army. Neediest Families (families in crisis) - Extended assistance program. Spirit of Giving - Holiday food and toy drive Holiday Meals - Traditional Thanksgiving meals and Christmas meals served restaurant-style for those in need.

The Salvation Army of Coastal Alabama offers emotional, social and spiritual assistance for children, women and men, women and children that do not have the ability to cope with the struggles in their lives and are not able to provide for themselves. The center provides not only emergency shelter, but also job training and job placement. Social services, as well as seasonal assistance is provided for those in need. They also have individual, group and work therapy for men that are recovering from substance (alcohol/drug) addictions. The program offers physical and spiritual care which helps to prepare them to re-join society and achieve employment. Many men have been rehabilitated, reunited with their families and start livng a normal life once again.
