Shelter for the homeless is provided in Birmingham and Tuscaloosa. Transportation to and from the shelter is provided for the homeless. Also has a thrift store, food bank, canteen (during disasters), prescription medicine assistance For disaster clients there is no fee. For homeless clients the first five nights of lodging are free. Walk-ins welcomed or call for an appointment. The office is open on Mondays through Fridays from 8:00 am until 5:00 pm. |
